Research Postdoctoral Fellow - Craniofacial Development and Gene Therapy

About the role

The role involves conducting independent scholarly research, contributing to the overall research goals of the project and the research group, participating in project planning, recording and interpretation/evaluation of data, and communicating results. This role also includes acquiring technical, lab management, and manuscript/grant writing skills, and participating in seminars, lectures, poster sessions, and presentations at national meetings. This role may also involve supervising junior lab members, developing new methods and protocols for research, and assisting with the development of other research projects in the lab.

Responsibilities

• Supervise junior lab members
• Assist with other research projects

Requirements

The successful candidate should have a strong experimental foundation in mouse genetics, development, cell, developmental, and computational analyses (R/Python and/or MATLAB). Additional experience with human neuron/cell culture, iPSC derivation, iPSC analysis, cell culture, animal models is desirable. Working knowledge of recombinant DNA methods, genomics and microscope is welcome. Outstanding oral and written communication skills are required.
