About the role
As a research officer, you are responsible for designing and launching support for an evidence-based approach internally at FBA in 2022 (i.e. an approach based on research and long-term proven experience).
Responsibilities
- Leading the work to develop and introduce digital courses and other support material.
- Developing and launching this support internally at the agency by the end of 2022.
- Working independently while collaborating closely with colleagues in the research program and the program for coordination and method.
- Maintaining personal contacts within the agency to ensure the support developed is relevant.
- Engaging with external organizations to learn from their approaches to promoting an evidence-based approach.
- Contributing to the research program’s regular work, including activities that promote research, make research results available, and foster dialogue between researchers and practitioners in the field of peace, security, and development.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A Master's degree in a relevant field such as peace studies, development studies, social sciences, or a related discipline.
- Experience in research and project management.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to design and implement research projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of digital course development and delivery platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field such as peace studies, development studies, social sciences, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in research and project management.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing research projects.
- Experience in digital course development and delivery platforms.
