Research Manager

About the role

The Pulte Institute for Global Development, housed within the Keough School of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame, seeks a Research Manager to oversee and coordinate a portfolio of research projects and impact evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee data collection activities in LMIC contexts, ensuring data quality, conducting analysis using STATA, and presenting research findings to academic, policy, and practitioner audiences
• Manage and coordinate research projects, including project planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting activities
• Collaborate with faculty investigators and implementation partners to design and implement impact evaluations, randomized controlled trials, and other applied research studies
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and research operations to ensure efficient use of resources
• Supervise, train, and mentor research associates, research assistants, and student researchers to ensure high-quality project execution
• Support the development of grant proposals, donor reports, and partner communications

Qualifications

• Master's degree in economics, public policy, political science, sociology, international development, or a related social science field
• At least three years of professional experience managing research projects, preferably in development economics, impact evaluation, or applied social science research
• Demonstrated experience coordinating complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and deadlines
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including experience working with large datasets
• Proficiency with statistical software such as Stata, R, Python, or equivalent
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Authorization to work in the US without visa sponsorship

Additional Information

• Compensation: Up to $85,000, commensurate with experience
