Research Librarian

About the role

As a Research Librarian at Lockheed Martin, you will be responsible for providing expert research support to various departments within the organization. This includes conducting comprehensive literature reviews, managing databases, and collaborating with scientists and engineers on cutting-edge projects.

Responsibilities

• Conducting in-depth research and analysis on specialized topics
• Maintaining and updating bibliographic databases
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address research needs
• Developing and delivering training sessions on research methodologies
• Managing and analyzing large datasets using statistical software

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Studies, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a research library setting
• Strong knowledge of academic and professional literature databases
• Experience with database management systems and statistical software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library Science or a related field preferred
• Experience with digital libraries and e-resources
• Knowledge of library automation systems

$75,000 - $90,000 annually
