Our Early Development team focuses on Phase I and IB trials, which represent the first practical tests of a compound’s clinical relevance and commercial viability. These trials set the stage for subsequent studies that will ultimately determine a compound’s efficacy, safety, and positive impact on patients' lives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory procedures such as blood harvesting and urine monitoring according to protocol as assigned.
  • Work with coordinators to assure the smooth and orderly flow of procedures in the Clinics, Lab, and Urine Monitoring areas.
  • Collect and harvest plasma, serum, and all other required laboratory specimens according to protocol specifications.
  • Monitor the collection of urine and/or fecal specimens from subjects participating in studies.
  • Complete all required study documents and train on special equipment per protocol as needed.
  • Assure that all procedures and processing areas are maintained in a neat, clean, and organized manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification; technical positions may require a certificate.
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 1 year). In some cases, an equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training, and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in general computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under constant exposure to high pressure and intense concentration.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.

Work Environment

  • Cleanroom: No hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, or facial hair allowed.
  • Cold Room/Freezers: Exposure to temperatures as low as -22°F (-6°C).
  • Laboratory setting with potential exposure to loud noises from equipment/machinery.
  • Required use of PPE (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.).
  • Standing for the full shift.
  • Able to communicate, receive, and understand information with diverse groups of people.
  • Able to work upright and stationary for typical working hours.
  • Able to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Exposure to potentially hazardous elements, including infectious agents, typically found in healthcare or laboratory environments.
  • Ability to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities.

Schedule

  • This is a per diem role requiring flexibility to work across all shift types: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.
  • Mandatory training period during the 1st shift (typically 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM) for the first month of employment.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required by the department schedule.
  • Ability to respond to on-call requests and cover shifts on short notice.
  • Willingness to rotate shifts and adapt to changing schedules as needed.
