About the role
At NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, Laboratory Technologists are redefining the limits of science and medicine. Join our Pediatric STAT Lab team working in the Emergency Department at the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital. You will perform a variety of automated and manual tests and related duties to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease, following established procedures in state-of-the-art 24-hour facilities.
This position is a weekend per diem role requiring at least 2 shifts per month.
Responsibilities
- Perform automated and manual tests in Chemistry and Hematology
- Obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease
- Follow established laboratory procedures
- Contribute to lifesaving results in a fast-paced STAT Lab environment
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent experience)
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education Department
- Must live within a commutable distance to NYP (on-site presence required; no travel reimbursement provided)
Qualifications
- Two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting (preferred)
- ASCP certification (preferred)

Pay
Salary Range: $68.25/hour
Schedule
Rotating shifts in a 24-hour facility. Weekend per diem position requiring at least 2 shifts per month.
