Research Lab Technician II
About the role
The Musolino Laboratory at the Center for Genomic Medicine in collaboration with Dr. Lindsay’s laboratory of the Cardiology Department at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, a translational neuroscience laboratory focusing on developing gene-targeted therapies for inherited cerebrovascular disorders that lead to stroke and leukodystrophy, is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic candidate to join our research group.
Responsibilities
- Executes protocols of non-routine experiments.
- Aids Principal Investigators in determining the most suitable methodology.
- Performs basic design and modification of protocols.
- Calculates, transcribes, and analyzes data.
- Prepares and presents reports.
- Organizes and summarizes acquired data using scientific and statistical techniques.
- Participates in the design of experiments or field work.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study required.
- Previous Research Lab Experience of 1-2 years required.
Skills and Abilities
- Analytical skills and ability to resolve technical problems.
- Ability to interpret acceptability of data results.
- Strong computer skills.
- Demonstrated competence in research techniques and methodologies.
