The De Raedt Lab aims to develop novel, successful therapies, including cellular and immunotherapies, for children with brain tumors by dissecting the fundamental processes of tumor biology and developing highly relevant mouse models.

Excitingly, one paper on using neurons as delivery vehicles for therapies was recently accepted in Nature Neuroscience, while a mouse modeling paper was recently published in Molecular Cancer Therapeutics.

The lab has a specific focus on neurofibromatosis type I associated gliomas but we work on sporadic pediatric HGG as well.

We use a range of molecular and cellular biological techniques alongside advanced in vivo models to elucidate the molecular basis of cancer and directly translate these findings into preclinical trials.
