About the role

The Morrow laboratory, led by Dr. Eric Morrow, focuses on molecular neuroscience studies of autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders. The laboratory collaborates with the Lurie Autism Institute, a joint initiative between CHOP and Penn Medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Plans projects and directs daily laboratory work
  • Analyzes results as directed by PI or Lab Director
  • Supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of services, programs, protocols, policies, and procedures
  • Manages, trains, and supervises laboratory staff
  • Ensures staff adhere to department policies regarding procedures, protocols, objectives, safety etc.
  • Oversees management of daily laboratory resource allocations; budget management
  • Aids in writing papers and center grant applications
  • Participates in site visits and presents lectures when appropriate
  • Identifies and interviews candidates for open positions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • At least two (2) years of scientifically relevant experience Required
  • At least two (2) years of laboratory direction or management experience Required
  • At least one (1) year of lead, management or supervisory experience Required
  • At least two (2) years of post-doctoral fellowship experience Preferred
  • At least four (4) years of scientifically relevant experience Preferred
  • At least four (4) years of laboratory direction or management experience Preferred
  • At least three (3) years of lead, management or supervisory experience Preferred
  • Previous budgeting and forecasting experience Preferred

Pay

SALARY RANGE: $92,100.00 - $117,400.00 Annually
