Position Purpose
The primary responsibilities will include supporting the planning and execution of focus groups and pilot testing activities. The interns may assist with developing focus group guides, supporting participant recruitment, and co-facilitating focus group sessions with adolescents and adults under the supervision of study staff. Additional responsibilities may include transcribing audio recordings into de-identified transcripts and participating in qualitative data analysis using de-identified data, including coding and summarizing findings for internal reports. The interns may also assist with planning and recruitment for pilot testing sessions in which participants engage with a study-developed video game and provide feedback.
Responsibilities
- Supports participant recruitment
- Under the supervision of study staff co-facilitates focus group sessions with adolescents and adults
- Participates in qualitative data analysis
- May assist with planning and recruitment for pilot testing sessions
- Supports the informed consent process alongside study staff, including distributing and collecting assent forms from adolescents under 18 and consent forms from parents or guardians
Required Qualifications
- High School and some college
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
