Why it matters The next power user on the web isn’t human. Developer Experience took twenty years to become a discipline with tooling, standards, and budget behind it. Agent Experience will not get twenty years—the shift is happening now, and there is no accepted way to measure it yet. 2027.dev is building the Agent Experience standard and helping teams ship agent-ready software. Its public work, Agent Arena, benchmarks developer tools by their agent readiness. This role is key to shaping what Agent Experience actually means. Your focus Own benchmark experiments end to end, from running them across different coding agents and harnesses to publishing the methodology.Ship the research by sharing your most important findings with customers, partners, and the broader developer ecosystem.Challenge the team’s thinking and shape the product with your findings. If you are excited about building, you can play a role in that too. You might be a fit if You are excited about coding agents and where they excel and break.You want to own a conclusion and its implications, not just an analysis.You want more than the research work: talking with the customers who use it and challenging the methodology when it does not hold up.Nice to have: RL or post-training experience, work with MCP or tool-use APIs, or published or open-source work about how agents behave. This is an internship, but 2027.dev is open to turning it into a full-time role at the end—or considering full-time from the start for the right candidate.
