Curriculum
The MD Program curriculum includes various courses designed to prepare students for medical practice. It consists of:
- Four Longitudinal Courses covering Professional Responsibility, Scientific Foundations, Connections to the World, and Across the Lifespan.
- Ten Longitudinal Threads focusing on Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Diagnostic Methods, Embryology, Genetics, Health Equity, Pathology, Nutrition, Pharmacology, and Physiology.
- Eight Master Courses such as Introduction to the Profession (iPro), Scientific Inquiry, Populations & Methods, and more.
- Eighteen Core Courses including Anatomy, Clinical Skills, Communication Skills, Clinical Reasoning, and more.
Financial Aid
Financial aid is available for students conducting extended study or pursuing joint or dual degree programs. Options for paying tuition during the final two years of enrollment include:
- Paying full tuition in the Flex Year and a continuing registration fee in the final year.
- Paying half tuition and half continuing registration fee in each of the two years.
- No tuition payment and not eligible for YSM need-based scholarship in the final year.
