Research Fellow, Neuroimaging
Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, part of Mass General Brigham, is a not-for-profit organization supporting patient care, research, teaching, and community service. We are recruiting a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join the Dystonia and Speech Motor Control Laboratory led by Dr. Kristina Simonyan in the Departments of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and Neurology.
About the role
The postdoctoral fellow will lead multimodal neuroimaging projects investigating the neural basis of normal and diseased speech control in healthy individuals and patients with neurological voice disorders, laryngeal dystonia, and voice tremor. The role involves using structural (MRI, DWI) and functional (fMRI, EEG) neuroimaging techniques, genetics, and clinico-behavioral neurotesting as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of data acquisition and management.
- Develop, modify, and execute analytical protocols.
- Prepare publications and scientific presentations.
- Disseminate results in peer-reviewed scientific journals and at major national and international meetings.
- Mentor junior staff.
Opportunities exist for scientific interactions and collaborations through seminars, symposia, and meetings focused on neuroscience, clinical research, and neurotechnology.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or M.D. in Neuroscience, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields of biomedical sciences.
- Expertise in human brain imaging, including fMRI, EEG, and DWI.
- Solid experience with scientific computing, including computational (Python, MATLAB) and statistical (AFNI, FSL, SPM) methods.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively with multiple investigators.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent academic credentials, including a strong publication record.

Pay
$70,000.00 - $71,750.00/Annual
