About the Role
A Research Fellow position in Life Sciences (LS) at Mayo Clinic is a temporary role designed to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified candidates will demonstrate research potential through their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. Upon approval, Research Fellows may have patient or research subject contact directly related to their research program. Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 visa holders sponsored by Mayo Clinic.
Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical-based or laboratory-based research under the supervision of a principal investigator.
- Demonstrate potential for research through training and peer-reviewed publications.
- Become competitive for national research grants.
- Engage in research activities that may include incidental patient or research subject contact, pending approval.
Qualifications
- Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field.
- Appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.

Pay
$67,282.95 - $78,711.15 per year. Education, experience, tenure, and internal equity may be considered when extending job offers.
Schedule
Full Time (80 hours per pay period).
