Research Fellow in Aeolian Geomorphology

About the role

Join the School of Earth Atmosphere and Environment as a Research Fellow in Aeolian Geomorphology. In this role, you will lead cutting edge research within the Australian Research Council Discovery Project DP260101075. Based within the Monash Geomorphology Laboratory, you will work in close collaboration with Associate Professor Kathryn Fitzsimmons, Dr Andrew Frierdich and Dr Andrew Gunn, as well as a team of trainees, guiding research direction and supporting student training.

Responsibilities

• Linking aeolian sediment sink properties to sources using remotely sensed (e.g., hyperspectral) and climate reanalysis data, calibrated with in situ field data, laboratory analysis, and numerical models of landscape evolution.

Requirements

Remuneration: $86,195 - $116,981 pa Level A (plus 17% employer superannuation)

Qualifications

• PhD in Geomorphology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Experience in aeolian geomorphology research.
• Strong publication record in relevant journals.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
