Research Fellow - Clinical Anatomy

About the role

The Research Fellow in Clinical Anatomy at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. This role is dedicated to enhancing patient care through clinical anatomy instruction, assessment, and translational research.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science (MCCOMS) faculty/instructors across the enterprise, including all Mayo Clinic sites as required.
• Engage in clinical anatomy instruction and assessment of learners.
• Participate in the development and delivery of Continuous Professional Development courses in clinical anatomy.
• Perform cadaveric dissection as required by education, research, and practice shields.
• Contribute to translational research projects aimed at enhancing patient care.
• Enhance skill proficiency in the use of AI and Immersive Tools through the Experiential Learning Platform.
• Prepare, write, and submit manuscripts for publication in clinically based, peer-reviewed anatomy and medical education journals.
• Develop and implement leadership skills and multi-specialty interaction expertise.

Qualifications

• Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field directly relevant to clinical anatomy.
• Must have evidence of clinical anatomy teaching experience.
• Must have evidence of experience in cadaveric dissection.
• Must have evidence of participation in scholarly and clinical anatomy research-based projects.
• A minimum of one publication in a peer-reviewed journal is required.

Pay

$67,282- $78,711 / year; Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.

Schedule

Full Time
Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., with occasional additional hours based on work assignments.
