Research Fellow - Cancer Research Admin

At the Earle A. Fellowships are for one year and may be renewed annually based on demonstrated progress of the Fellows IDP, typically not extending past 5 years.

Fellows are expected to apply for external funding within 2 years of their assignment and to submit at least one first-author manuscript within the first 3 years, then one per year thereafter. Fellows perform complex biomedical experiments in support of research activities or specialized scientific service laboratories, exercising independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for solving problems.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex biomedical experiments in support of research activities or specialized scientific service laboratories.
• Exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for solving problems.
• Apply for external funding within 2 years of assignment.
• Submit at least one first-author manuscript within the first 3 years of assignment, then one per year thereafter.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in a discipline pertinent to biomedical research.
• Experience in presenting original research in oral and written format.
• Proven success in writing and publishing original research.
• Demonstrated track record of progressive biomedical research indicating a growing level of research independence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Immunology, genomics, or molecular biology, or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience in the field of immunology.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $25.23 - $38.61 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
