Research Fellow
Job Description

Minimum Job Requirements
- Education/Training: Doctorate (Medical Degree) preferred
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in clinical research required
- Prior Epic experience
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and Good Technology Practice
- Proficient use of computers and software
- Knowledge of Orthopaedic and/or Rheumatologic terminology is a plus
Research
The fellow will spend four (4) days per week performing clinical research. They will be expected to complete at least three clinical research projects leading to publication and conference acceptances. With the intent of becoming a future leader in academic arthroplasty, the fellows are expected to independently perform literature reviews, develop study hypotheses, complete detailed methodological protocols for experiments and then present his/her work to the designated research mentor for approval. The fellow is expected to complete manuscript preparations. The fellow will be expected to attend weekly meetings as well as both supervise and teach medical students and undergraduate research students. The fellow is also expected to attend one career development workshop dedicated to becoming a surgeon scientist. The fellow will also be expected to complete a research protocol for incoming fellows. This protocol must be reviewed by the ARJR Clinical Review Panel as well as Hospital for Special Surgery's Investigational Review Board. The protocol must be fully executed and approved at the conclusion of the fellowship.
Benefits
In addition to the base pay scale of $60,000.00 - $91,125.00, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation.
