Research Ethics and Integrity Manager

What will you be doing?

Reporting To The Head Of Research Governance, You Will Lead the development of global institutional frameworks for research ethics and integrity, ensuring alignment with regulatory and funder requirements.
Line manage the Research Integrity Officer and two Research Ethics Administrators, taking responsibility for staff development and training.
Manage the business of the University Ethics of Research Committee including working closely with the Committee Chair.
Oversee and enhance research ethics processes, systems and reviews across the University.
Provide expert advice on complex ethical and integrity issues to researchers and senior leaders.
Lead assurance, reporting and compliance activity, including the Concordat to Support Research Integrity.
Develop training, guidance and engagement initiatives to embed a positive research integrity culture.
Build effective relationships across the University and contribute to sector networks and best practice.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in research ethics, integrity or governance within a complex organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and sector expectations.
  • Experience of developing policy, systems or institutional frameworks.
  • Experience of leading projects, services or teams and driving change and improvement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
