About the role

The Research Engineer will support both the robotics/data collection environment and the ML development workflow, helping the team move faster, improve model quality, and better understand model performance in production.

Responsibilities

• 80% Hands On
• 20% Leadership

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree, ideally in Computer Science or Robotics or Electrical Engineering or Machine Learning
• ROS/ROS2 (including modules for robot navigation, manipulation, simulation, and/or data collection)
• Python and C++ (Must be able to pass a coding assessment as part of the interview process)
• Prior Robotics and Machine Learning experience (experience can be from academic and/or professional work)
• Leadership skills will also be crucial

Qualifications

Open to a combination of professional experience, internships and academic projects with the above skills.

Skills

• Any experience with robotic manipulators, mobile robot platforms, or lab-based robotic systems
• Any experience with data collection for computer vision, biometric systems, identity verification, or AI platforms
• Familiarity with iOS and Android development
• Familiarity with cloud platforms
