Role Overview A highly skilled Research Engineer is needed to optimize large-scale training and inference workloads on AI infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Enhance performance, scalability, and reliability of AI systems across GPUs, accelerators, and distributed platforms.Collaborate with customers to analyze workloads, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements.Develop inference pipelines, model serving systems, and performance tooling for production.Design profiling, debugging, and observability tools to guide optimization.Ensure performance enhancements are integrated via APIs, automation, and the Lightning ecosystem.Partner with hardware vendors to support diverse compute backends and contribute to open-source projects. Qualifications & Skills Expertise in deep learning frameworks like PyTorch.Experience with large-scale training or inference workloads and distributed systems.Strong software engineering skills, API design, debugging, and production deployment.Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degrees preferred.
