Research Engineer
Busek is seeking a talented and motivated Research Engineer to join our cutting-edge propulsion team. This position focuses on the development, testing, and design of advanced thrusters, propellants, and electron emitter technologies. The ideal candidate will contribute to R&D experimental work, combining hands-on engineering with deep physics and aerospace knowledge.

Responsibilities
- Design and Fabrication: Develop designs and oversee the creation of custom parts for propulsion systems
- Experimental Testing: Conduct testing and validation of thruster components and new propellant technologies
- Research & Development: Collaborate on innovative projects, including electron emitter development
- System Integration: Work across teams to ensure successful integration of propulsion systems into broader platforms
- Problem Solving: Analyze data and troubleshoot issues in design and testing phases
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics
- Hands-on experience with electric propulsion (EP) systems preferred
- Knowledge of thruster design and operation is essential
Skills
- Strong understanding of physics and aerospace principles
- Proficiency in experimental design and data analysis
- Familiarity with CAD software for part design is a plus
