About the role

The Research Development Specialist will independently drive research projects, utilize effective statistical methodologies and data management strategies, and oversee the publication process for Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, adhering to good clinical practice and FDA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Recommend and implement effective statistical methodology and data management strategies for research projects.
  • Oversee the creation, completion, and analysis of research projects for the Research Institute.
  • Manage and ensure the successful publication of research findings for Sarasota Memorial Health Care System.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and manage research strategies.
  • Assist in the creation of independent clinical cancer trials.
  • Utilize commonly used computer applications, including databases and data mining tools.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of clinical experience preferably within a research setting.
  • Completion of Human Subject Protection Training within 30 (thirty) days of hire.
  • Clinical Research Professional certification or must be obtained within one (1) year of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to initiate work without supervision and work independently.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of statistics and research grant processes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and willingness to learn medical manuscript writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to assist with independent clinical cancer trial creation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of commonly used computer applications, including database and data mining tools.
