Research, Development and Engineering (RD&E) Internship - Summer 2027

As a Research, Development and Engineering (RD&E) Intern at SC Johnson, you’ll be involved in strategic projects that allow you to discover, apply and develop new products and materials to improve or create our next generation of quality, trusted products. You’ll be part of our team in Racine, Wisconsin and will work cross-functionally with colleagues across the company to gain skills which will help prepare you for a full-time career in RD&E.
Responsibilities
Your RD&E internship project will focus on providing enriching experiences to help develop key skills in one or more of the following areas:
- Formulation Development
- Test Method Development and Validation
- Design of Experiments
- Process Development and Scale-up
- Claims Validation
- Data Analysis

Requirements
You’ll need to be enrolled and seeking a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related degree with a graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028. You must also be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship for full-time employment, and be available to complete the internship from May 17, 2027 through August 6, 2027.
Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have strong analytical, technical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation aptitude. You should be goal-oriented, results-driven, and intellectually curious, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to work independently on assignments.
