Research Data Support Specialist (Hybrid)
About the role
The Enterprise Data and Information Management (EDIM), Program Data Reporting Division (PDRD) at the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Research Data Specialist III (RDS III) within the Community Programs Data Support Branch (CPDSB).
The RDS III will determine and define the scope and parameters of data requirements, with a focus on meeting data reporting requirements set by CMS for the Access to Care Final Rule and perform the more complex research and data analysis projects for the CPDSB within the PDRD.
The RDS III will serve as a top expert and independently design, develop, and perform complex research projects or activities in support of the waivers and programs managed by the Integrated Systems of Care Division (ISCD), specifically the Specialty Services Reporting Section.
The RDS III will work with programs and data systems to develop measurement specifications and reporting processes. Additionally, the RDS III will serve as a lead for highly complex, research and data quality projects.
The incumbent must demonstrate strong analytic, statistical, data governance, organizational, and communication skills and be able to use SAS, Structured Query Language (SQL), or other statistical/business intelligence software.
Responsibilities

Requirements
The RDS III must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and three years of progressively responsible experience in data analysis, research, or related field.
Experience working with SAS, Structured Query Language (SQL), or other statistical/business intelligence software is desirable.
