Data And Research Specialist

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

About the Role

The Data and Research Specialist identifies, registers, and maintains records of all patients in a program specific to the area in which it is located. Preference given to candidates currently pursuing Pre-Med.

Responsibilities

• Interact with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, administrative staff, and clinic personnel.
• Manage several high-priority projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrate advanced working knowledge of computer spreadsheets and databases.
• Explain certain aspects of clinical studies recommended to patients.
• Maintain records in accordance with FDA guidelines and standards.
• Make recommendations to attending physicians regarding patient suitability for enrollment in certain clinical studies.
• Participate in department committees.
• Acquire lifelong follow-up data for patients from all physician offices.
• Manage data for pharmaceutical studies, including liaison with representatives of those companies.
• Maintain and update all human subjects committee protocols.
• Perform the professional, clinical, and/or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Graduate
• Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or related healthcare field OR Associate’s Degree + 2 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare or academic setting.
