Job Summary The Research Data Analyst, Child Welfare is responsible for performing data analysis using statistical techniques, researching and analyzing information from various foster care and educational databases, and creating reports on data and results. This role gathers and analyzes data from various databases and sources, performs statistical and/or mathematical programming, develops reports and visual representations, develops and/or maintains databases, and provides consultation and technical assistance. This is a grant-funded position, which may be extended or shortened based upon availability of funds and/or work.

Responsibilities

  • Manages, reformats, enters, edits, merges, and maintains data in preparation for analysis.
  • Analyzes data using statistical or mathematical software to generate descriptive statistics and develop statistical models and graphics.
  • Reviews statistical output for consistency and quality.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of evaluation plans.
  • Collects, analyzes, and interprets data to evaluate program activities and components.
  • Conducts thorough evaluations of research training programs.
  • Communicates statistical results to supervising faculty or staff.
