Key Responsibilities
- Manage the transition of researchers to optimized platforms through the administration of incentive programs and resource allocation in collaboration with project leadership and technology providers.
- Aid in defining and launching new cloud service offerings, translating researcher needs into actionable agreements and services.
- Participate as a member of the Capacity Program leads team.
- Act as a primary point of contact for the Research Computing Capacity Planning project and provide coordination across all assigned components of the project.
- Assist in the development and presentation of regular progress updates to SRC and University leadership.
- Report to campus stakeholders and the program teams on a regular basis.
- Collaborate closely throughout with the SRC researcher-facing, system administration, and storage teams to ensure solutions are meeting the needs of the research team.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Proven experience in technical program or project management within a complex academic, or similar, environment.
- Familiarity with data center operations and/or large-scale research computing infrastructure.
- Knowledge or experience with the top cloud service offerings on the market today.
- Ability to navigate procurement processes and vendor management.
- Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technical engineers and research teams; strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with a diverse group of stakeholders, including senior researchers.
