As a Research Associate to Senior Analyst, Oil & Gas, you will play a pivotal role in providing actionable insights to our diverse client base, including E&Ps, midstream companies, oilfield services firms, mineral owners, and financial institutions.

Responsibilities
- Cover a set of oil and gas plays in depth: operators, assets, infrastructure, execution strategy, and market valuation.
- Find and pressure-test compelling stories within the plays.
- Write concise, defensible research reports.
- Talk to clients directly, providing insights and analysis.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams covering engineering, geology, macroeconomics, M&A, and finance to build comprehensive analyses.
Requirements
- Background in Canadian or US oil and gas plays.
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, finance, geology, accounting, mathematics, or a related field.
- Professional designations (CFA, P.Eng., P.Geo., MBA) are beneficial, especially at higher levels.
- Fluent in Excel and willing to leverage AI tools for enhanced analysis.
Qualifications
We seek individuals with genuine curiosity about the industry, the ability to form and defend views, strong writing skills, and comfort with ambiguity and self-direction. A background in engineering, finance, geology, or a related field is preferred, but not required. Fluency in Excel and proficiency with AI tools are essential.
