About the Role
- Produce RNA in small to mid-scale reactions
- Prepare reagents, sub-aliquot, maintain reagent logs, and manage inventory
- Support reagent selection and vendor qualification
- Contribute to creating and documenting protocols and techniques
- Collaborate with the analytical team to assess purity and impurity levels in DNA/RNA products
- Support QC assays
- Collect and prepare accurate data summaries; review written reports
- Stay current with scientific literature and implement new techniques to improve quality/efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or related field with 2–4 years of experience
- Experience with manufacturing DNA, RNA, or gene therapy-related modalities (GMP or non-GMP)
- Strong documentation practices, including electronic notebooks
- Thrives in a fast-moving, results-oriented startup environment
- Self-motivated, passionate, and eager to learn
- Experience with external vendor communications
Skills
- Tangential flow filtration, AKTA purification, and bioreactors (significant plus)
- QC assays: Qubit, Fragment Analyzer, LAL Endotoxin (significant plus)
- Hands-on experience in molecular and cell biology
- Familiarity with JMP statistical software
Pay
Hourly rate: $55–$70
