About the role

The Division of Renal-Electrolyte and Hypertension in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Research Associate positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years).

Requirements

• Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree
• Expertise in human genetics, including statistical genetics, computational biology, pharmacogenetics/genomics, functional genomics, genome editing, structural variation analysis, kidney genetics, and familiarity with studies addressing translational genomic medicine

Responsibilities

• Bioinformatics analysis of genetic, genomics, and epigenetic datasets associated with kidney disease development
• Collaborate with the Penn/CHOP Kidney Innovation Center to facilitate team efforts
• Perform primary data analysis, publish results, and present findings
