About the role
The Division of Hematology-Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Research Associate positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years).
Responsibilities
- Lead projects and work cooperatively with others
- Carry out and troubleshoot experiments
- Assist in manuscript and grant writing
- Build relationships with supervisors, collaborators, and co-workers
- Work on the interface of basic and translational research
- Develop the ability to handle research projects independently at both intellectual and technical levels
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree
- Expertise in the specific area of hematology/oncology
