Qualifications
A PhD in atmospheric science, geography, environmental science, computer science, or a related discipline is required by the start date. Candidates should have strong Python and geospatial-data analysis experience, demonstrated independent research ability, and excellent communication skills.

The EHCR Group in the Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of Virginia aims to improve understanding of climate-related hazards (wildfire, drought, flood) and their impacts on natural environments and human communities using remote sensing, Earth system modeling, and machine learning.
Benefits
This is a one-year appointment; however, the appointment may be renewed for an additional two, one-year increments, contingent upon available funding and satisfactory performance.
