Research Associate III
About the role
Pipeline Opening HD Biosciences Inc., a WuXi AppTec company, is seeking a Research Associate III to join their assay development team. The ideal candidate will support cell-based assays and biochemical assays, including high-throughput screening, in 96 or 384-well formats.
Responsibilities
- Support cell-based assays and biochemical assays as requested
- Perform assays in biochemical and cell-based formats suitable for Structure Activity Relationship (SAR) screening in 96 or 384-well formats
- Deep understanding of molecular biology and cell biology, and experience in mammalian cell culture and compound handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with internal team colleagues and external clients to promote world-class services
Requirements
- Master's degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Molecular Biology
- 3+ years of relevant work experience preferred
Qualifications
- Demonstrated strong understanding of complex scientific procedures with technical proficiency in molecular and cell biology
- Outstanding written and oral communication and interpersonal skills to fit within a teamwork-driven environment
Skills & Abilities
- Proficient in oral and written communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work in an office environment with minimal noise conditions
- Must be able to work in a lab setting with exposure to animals, biohazards, and chemicals (specific chemicals listed)
- Must not have animal allergies to applicable species in this facility
- Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to work in environments with variable noise levels
- Must be able to stand, sit, walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs routinely
- Must be able to crouch, bend, twist, and reach
- Must be able to push/pull 10 lbs routinely, often, or occasionally

Pay
An anticipated salary range of $26.61 to $34.62 per hour.
