We are seeking a Research Associate III to support laboratory operations, process transfer activities, and cross-functional project initiatives within a research and development environment. This role will play a key part in supporting the transition of products and processes from development into operational settings while ensuring quality, consistency, and documentation excellence.The ideal candidate will bring strong laboratory skills, experience working in a regulated or structured environment, and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams. This position offers a balance of hands-on laboratory work, technical documentation, and stakeholder collaboration.RESPONSIBILITIESLaboratory & Process SupportExecute laboratory experiments and process characterization activities following established protocols.Perform routine wet lab procedures and support product and process transfer activities.Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data.Troubleshoot laboratory procedures and identify opportunities for process improvements.Support scale-up, process optimization, and operational readiness initiatives.Maintain accurate and complete laboratory records in accordance with documentation requirements.Documentation & QualityCreate, review, update, and route technical documentation through internal systems.Prepare and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), reports, study summaries, and related documentation.Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with quality standards and established procedures.Support quality-focused initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.Maintain a strong commitment to data integrity and accurate record keeping.Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with stakeholders across research, development, operations, quality, and other functional groups.Participate in project meetings and provide updates on experimental progress and key findings.Present data and technical information to project teams and stakeholders.Contribute to project planning, workflow improvements, and technical problem-solving activities.Assist with training and knowledge sharing within the team as appropriate.EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with 4–6 years of relevant professional experience preferred.Candidates with a Master's degree and relevant laboratory experience are encouraged to apply.Strong candidates with a Bachelor's degree and 2–3 years of applicable experience may also be considered.Experience working in laboratory, manufacturing, product development, quality, or other technical environments preferred.Experience supporting activities within a regulated environment is highly desirable.Preferred ExperienceWet laboratory techniques and biological testing methods.Manufacturing or operational support environments.Technical documentation and controlled document management.Process improvement, quality systems, or design quality initiatives.Product transfer, process transfer, or operational readiness activities.Electronic laboratory documentation systems.EDUCATIONBachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline required.Master's degree preferred.TO BE A BEST FIT, YOUR STRENGTHS MUST INCLUDEStrong wet lab and laboratory technique experience.Excellent documentation and technical writing abilities.Ability to follow procedures while maintaining attention to detail and quality.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective verbal and written communication abilities.Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives.Strong organizational and time-management capabilities.Commitment to continuous learning and process improvement.Collaborative approach with the ability to work across multiple functions.Full-time employees are also eligible for benefits options such as health coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401k benefits.At Advanced Group, our commitment to diversity and inclusion in every part of our organization is crucial to fulfilling our mission and demonstrating our REAL values.
