Research Associate II, Clinical Biomarker Development
About the role
We are seeking a Research Associate II to join our Clinical Biomarker Development team. The selected candidate will play a vital role in supporting clinical biomarker leads in implementing biomarker strategies for RAS(ON) inhibitor clinical trials. This role offers the chance to work in a collaborative and innovative environment while contributing to ongoing clinical studies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Clinical Biomarker Leads, Biomarker Scientists, and other Translational Medicine team members in Clinical Biomarker Operations and Clinical Bioinformatics to support the execution of biomarker strategies.
- Perform quality control (QC) on study-related biomarker data and figures that lead to scientific presentations.
- Conduct detailed review of clinically relevant documents for RAS(ON) inhibitor clinical trials to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with study protocols.
- Work with Clinical Biomarker Operations to facilitate biomarker sample testing and design inventories of biomarker samples to support study planning and biomarker data delivery.
- Plan, perform, and present semi-routine analysis of biomarker data under general supervision.
Requirements
- Masters in cancer biology, cell or molecular biology, or a related field with 0-1 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and effective time management with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in quality control of scientific data.
- Ability to thrive in detail-oriented work within fast-paced, team-based environments.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with data science languages such as R, Python, and SQL.
- Understanding of oncology drug development, clinical trial design, and biomarker integration.
- Familiarity with clinically relevant biomarker platforms, including NGS and qPCR/ddPCR.
Pay
Base pay salary range for this full-time position is $91,000 - $110,000 USD for candidates working onsite at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based in. Individual base pay salary is determined by multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, market dynamics, and relevant education or training.
