Research Associate II

Location: South San Francisco, CA 94080 Duration: 12 Months Purpose And Scope The Research Associate II supports and executes nonclinical bioanalytical activities to generate high-quality, reliable data in GLP and non-GLP environments. This role encompasses sample processing, assay execution, data analysis, documentation, and training of other analysts in support of nonclinical research and development programs. Responsibilities And Accountabilities Nonclinical bioanalytical activities in GLP and non-GLP environmentExtract protein, DNA, and/or RNA from necropsied animal tissueRun ddPCR, qPCR, ELISA, MSD, Western blot, and related analyses on tissue extractsPerform nonclinical sample analysisSupport drafting and maintenance of analysis plans and SOPsData analysis, compilation, and QCTrain and support other analysts on bioanalytical methods, workflows, and best laboratory practices Required Qualifications BS in Biology or related field (MS preferred) Hands-on experience qPCR/ddPCR, ELISA or MSD3+ years of hands-on experience a bioanalytical, molecular biology or related laboratory setting Experience following SOPs and study documentationDemonstrated ability to maintain accurate, complete and traceable documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)Strong communication and organizational skills, with a proactive approach to delivering high-quality work Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting GLP toxicology or IND-enabling studiesExperience with automated liquid handling systems and assay automationExperience with LIMS/ELN systems and electronic data workflowsExperience in gene therapy, biologics or biomarker analysisExperience with SnapGene, SoftMax Pro, GraphPad Prism, JMP, Excel, and similar applications Working Environment " This position is based in South San Francisco, CA, USA and will require on-site work.
