Research Associate I - Immunoassay
About the role
BioLegend is seeking a motivated individual to support immunoassay product development and manufacturing within the Biomarker Immunoassay Group. The Research Associate will participate in multiple aspects of the product development process, including experimental design, assay initiation and testing, troubleshooting, manufacturing support, technology transfer, and product launch activities.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate antibodies, proteins, and screening antibody pairs.
- Optimize assay conditions, troubleshoot, and design relative biological experiments to validate the utility of new products.
- Document development activity and production records following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and design plans.
- Develop new products under ISO13485:2016 guidelines.
- Work with manufacturers and Quality Control (QC) groups to ensure proper production transfer and quality control.
- Support manufacturing and QC teams, assist in troubleshooting, and conduct raw material qualification.
- Assist with customer support by performing trouble-shooting experiments when needed.
- Participate actively in lab meetings and present data.
- Contribute to scientific discussions and collaborations.

Qualifications
- BS in a Biology, Chemistry, or other related field.
- 1-year of hands-on experience with immunoassays or other functional assays.
- Working experience in manufacturing or product development settings in compliance with ISO14835 standards.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Enthusiasm, attention to detail, the ability to meet aggressive deadlines, and ability to work effectively with others in a fast-paced, highly productive environment.

Pay
The base salary range for this full-time position is $23.00 - $30.75/Hour. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
