The Principal Investigator, Keith Black, MD, at Cedars-Sinai is seeking a Research Associate I to join their team. Cedars-Sinai is a leading institute for research funding from the National Institutes of Health.

Responsibilities

• Assists in identifying and troubleshooting of unexpected results.
• Orders laboratory supplies and supports laboratory operations.
• Maintains lab equipment and related records and may coordinate use of lab equipment.
• Operates specialized equipment.
• Orients research laboratory assistants or lower level research associates and undergraduate student researchers on day-to-day lab operations and routine procedures.
• Observes and follows safety standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or related field is required.
• Experience and Skills: Research laboratory experience is preferred. Solid understanding of database management, personal computers, and presentation and imaging software. Must possess excellent digital literacy, including ability to program in MATLAB or Python.
