Research Associate I

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Research Associate I to join our pharmaceutical client in West Point, PA. This is a 12-month contract to start with the potential for extensions. Pay: $24.00 - $34.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship. Description: Ideal candidate should be able to work flexible hours; Setup process equipment for lab-scale experimentsPrepare laboratory reagents, solutions and culture mediaPerform lab-scale downstream processing of vaccine process intermediatesPerform process monitoring assaysAnalyze, collate, track, and report data back to client staff membersMaintain records and test results following good laboratory practices (GLP)Work independently and efficientlyDocument work clearly and perform tests accuratelyCommunicate effectively with client staff membersEducation:B.S. in Bio/Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related science.Experience:1-3 years work experienceAt least six months related laboratory experience preferably performing biologics purification stepsGeneral laboratory skills, experience with pipettesOperation of tangential flow filtration experience is preferredExperience using formulas and linking spreadsheets in ExcelExcellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitudeAbility to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
