Research Associate I
About the role
The Research Associate will support compliance with the company's current marketed dental consumables, ensuring adherence to internal and external quality and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Cultivates and maintains a schedule of research activities aligned with the company's timeline.
- Conducts experiments using appropriate equipment and techniques, adhering to good laboratory practices.
- Plans and executes experiments under the guidance of more senior R&D personnel.
- Identifies and addresses deficiencies in experimental designs, proposing solutions to low to moderate complexity issues.
- Documents experimental data and calculations meticulously.
- Maintains accurate records of work and prepares standard and summary reports of results.
- Develops knowledge of the company's existing products and evaluates experiment results, competitor products, and new technologies.
- Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures, including quality, complaint handling, and safety guidelines.
- Participates in the evaluation of experiment results, ideas, competitor products, and new technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field required OR Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field plus 2 years of industrial laboratory experience required.
- Knowledge of standard chemical or physical testing procedures.
- Understanding of good laboratory practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Good interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
Skills
- Knowledge of standard chemical or physical testing procedures.
