About the role

The Research Associate will support compliance with the company's current marketed dental consumables, ensuring adherence to internal and external quality and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivates and maintains a schedule of research activities aligned with the company's timeline.
  • Conducts experiments using appropriate equipment and techniques, adhering to good laboratory practices.
  • Plans and executes experiments under the guidance of more senior R&D personnel.
  • Identifies and addresses deficiencies in experimental designs, proposing solutions to low to moderate complexity issues.
  • Documents experimental data and calculations meticulously.
  • Maintains accurate records of work and prepares standard and summary reports of results.
  • Develops knowledge of the company's existing products and evaluates experiment results, competitor products, and new technologies.
  • Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures, including quality, complaint handling, and safety guidelines.
  • Participates in the evaluation of experiment results, ideas, competitor products, and new technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field required OR Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field plus 2 years of industrial laboratory experience required.
  • Knowledge of standard chemical or physical testing procedures.
  • Understanding of good laboratory practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Good interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.

Skills

  • Knowledge of standard chemical or physical testing procedures.
  • Understanding of good laboratory practices.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Good interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
