Essential Responsibilities

- Carry out assigned laboratory functions applying knowledge and skill in an accurate, timely manner.
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with critical collaborative partners throughout the company.
- Synthesis, characterization, and purification of novel oligonucleotide conjugates.
- Identify critical issues/steps in conjugation and solve problems in a timely fashion.
- Development and optimization of conjugation protocols using novel chemistries and techniques.
- Track progress against project timelines, generate regular status updates, and communicate progress and issues to management.
- Manage and maintain equipment, reagents and dedicated laboratory environment needed to carry out assignments; Troubleshoot and solve equipment/technical problems.
- Maintain updated and well-organized lab notebooks.
- Execute daily laboratory operations with an approach designed to minimize risks and hazard waste streams.
- Maintain all appropriate corporate standards for facility safety and hazardous material management.

Qualifications
- BS or MS in Chemistry or a related discipline with excellent understanding of organic and analytical chemistry.
- Previous experience working in an organic synthesis, chemistry or analytical laboratory is preferred.
- Good working knowledge with a wide range of analytical techniques, especially RP-HPLC and LC-MS.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite Products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in biotech/pharmaceutical industry a plus.
- Previous experience with RNA/oligonucleotide therapeutics is preferred but not essential.

Compensation
- This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday.
