About the role
The Systems Software Research Group at Virginia Tech's Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications for a Research Associate position. Responsibilities
- Conduct research in program analysis, fuzzing, sanitization, and related state-of-the-art tools.
- Work on AI/ML systems and LLM tools to enhance research capabilities.
- Develop and evaluate new techniques for improving the efficiency and scalability of security property reasoning tools.
- Collaborate with other researchers and engineers to integrate findings into practical applications.
Requirements
- Master's degree in computer science or computer engineering.
- Expertise in program analysis, fuzzing, sanitization, and related tools.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work under limited supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong expertise with fuzzing and sanitization tools such as AFL++, ASan, and UBSan.
- Strong expertise with AI/ML systems and LLM tools.
Benefits
The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
Pay
$61,800 - $75,000, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Exempt: Not eligible for overtime. 40 hours per week.
