About the role
The position involves conducting research in program analysis toward developing efficient and scalable tools for reasoning about binary security properties.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research in program analysis toward developing efficient and scalable tools for reasoning about binary security properties.
- Work closely with faculty and students to advance the field of program analysis and security.
- Develop and evaluate new techniques for fuzzing, sanitization, and AI/ML-based approaches to improve software security.
- Collaborate with other researchers and industry partners to apply research findings to real-world problems.
Requirements
- Master's degree in computer science or computer engineering.
- Expertise in program analysis, fuzzing, sanitization, and their state-of-the-art tools.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work under limited supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong expertise with fuzzing and sanitization tools such as AFL++, ASan, and UBSan.
- Strong expertise with AI/ML systems and LLM tools.
Benefits
The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
Pay
$61,800 - $75,000, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Exempt: Not eligible for overtime.
Hours per week: 40.
