About the role
The Department of Cancer Biology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years).
Responsibilities
- Investigation of the role of protein palmitoylation in the regulation of autophagy in cancer.
- Further development of critical skills in studying cellular processes in cancer using biochemical and cell biological approaches.
Requirements
- Expertise in the specific area of protein biochemistry, cell culture techniques, molecular biology and animal models of cancer.
- A Ph.D. degree.
