Research Assistant, Wold Lab, College of Medicine, Dept of Pharmacology, Physiology & Neurobiology

Job Overview

The laboratory of Dr. Loren Wold in the Department of Pharmacology, Physiology, and Neurobiology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a motivated Research Assistant to assist with basic preclinical studies investigating the role of the environment on cardiopulmonary disease progression.

Essential Functions

• Perform experiments and record data according to research protocols.
• Interpret data and assist in judging its validity.
• Auxiliary in writing research protocols, research proposals, and manuscripts.
• Conduct statistical and graphical analysis of data.
• Assist in animal colony management and animal husbandry.
• Apply research principles for less complex assignments.
• Perform related duties based on departmental needs.

Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or Neuroscience or a related field.
• Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.

Compensation And Benefits

• Salary Range: $43,492.80 - $58,177.60 annually.
