Research Assistant - Study Technician

Role: Research Assistant supporting post-life study activities in a laboratory setting. Responsibilities Perform necropsy and histology tasks on laboratory animals following SOPs, GLPs, and regulatory standards.Monitor animal health and welfare, ensuring facilities meet AAALAC compliance.Execute tissue freezing, trimming, bagging, and embedding procedures.Participate in quality control activities, documenting corrections or errors.Maintain a safe, clean work environment while ensuring client confidentiality. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in animal science, biology, chemistry, microbiology, or biochemistry, or associate's in veterinary technology.Experience with small and large animal dissections (preferred 6+ months).Experience in animal handling (preferred 6+ months).Comfort working in animal research facility environments.Ability to perform or learn necropsy procedures on multiple species.
