About the role

Under supervision of the Program Director, this position performs a variety of national security non-laboratory research and clerical tasks to assist investigators in the collection, verification, and compilation of research information for the Space and Cyber program. Responsibilities include routine and complex clerical, research, and data processing duties to support the Director of National Security in gathering and compiling research data.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate research programming related to Space and Cyber security challenges in the Western Hemisphere.
  • Search library reference materials for necessary research information on Space and Cyber.
  • Assist the Director of National Security in organizing, monitoring, and coordinating research initiatives, specifically with the Security Research Hub.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute events related to Space and Cyber research, including roundtables, conferences, and external speakers.
  • Enter data into a database for the Security Research Hub.
  • Prepare and maintain files of research materials, and compile and edit indices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with three (3) years of experience; OR two (2) years of post-secondary education with one (1) year of experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Access to some DOE facilities and U.S. Military Installations requires U.S. citizenship.
  • Ability to travel locally.

Qualifications

  • Experience in military, government, or international environments.
  • Security clearance.

Pay

$33,000 - $35,000

Schedule

8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
