Research Assistant-Psychology

About the Role

Under the supervision of Dr. Ellman and other senior staff, the research assistant will aid in collecting and managing data in a multi-site study aiming to identify biomarkers and associated predictors of clinical and behavioral outcomes in individuals at risk for psychosis and psychiatric comparison groups.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection at all time points
• Administer semi-structured clinical interviews and cognitive tasks
• Collect biosamples, including EEG data, MRI data, and processing blood samples (e.g., centrifuging and storing in freezers; blood will be collected by a phlebotomist)
• Work on our active clinical trial
• Assist lab staff with daily lab operations, such as recruiting participants, managing data, and supervising undergraduate volunteers
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least six (6) months of directly related work experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
• Experience working or volunteering with individuals with mental disorders and/or similar vulnerable populations
• Experience with data management
• Excellent organization and interpersonal skills
• Ability to use one of the following programs or something comparable: SAS, SPSS, R, Qualtrics, Redcap, Python, and/or STATA
• Ability to work nights and/or weekends

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a psychological research lab
• Experience with MRI, EEG, or psychophysiological assessments
• Experience working with clinical populations (for example, clinical interviewing)

Pay

Hourly Rate Range: $15.38 - $19.24
