Research Assistant Professor of Computer Science - Omics Data Science for Immuno-Engineering
About the role
The School of Computer Science at the University of Oklahoma invites the applications for two non-tenure track Research Assistant Professor positions in Omics Data Science and Bioinformatics for Immuno-Engineering. These research-focused faculty positions will support interdisciplinary multi-omics research through collaborative data analysis and methodology development for immuno-engineering applications.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with investigators on the design and analysis of multi-omics studies;
- Develop, validate, and apply computational workflows for large-scale omics data, including single-cell and spatial data;
- Support data integration, interpretation, manuscript preparation, and data sharing;
- Lead research and development of new bioinformatics, machine learning, and data science methods for immuno-engineering;
- Develop grant applications and contribute to proposals in immuno-engineering;
- Participate in workshops, consultations, and other collaborative research activities.
Requirements

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field, with experience in bioinformatics, machine learning, and data science methodologies.

Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a strong commitment to interdisciplinary research, excellent communication skills, and a proven record of success in research and publication.
Skills
Strong programming skills in Python/R, proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools such as R, Python, and/or MATLAB, experience with single-cell and spatial omics data analysis, and expertise in machine learning and data science methodologies.
